"Урок речевого этикета "Asking for/giving directions" (Как пройти/как указать путь)

Цели урока:

Учебные: развитие речевых компетенций, умений говорения, чтения с извлечением частичной и полной информации.

Развивающие: развитие мышления, памяти, внимания.

Образовательные: формирование коммуникативной компетенции, расширение кругозора

Воспитательные: формирование мотивации к изучению английского языка.

Планируемый результат: научиться вести диалог-расспрос, используя элементарные навыки речевого этикета, расспрашивать собеседника  как правильно пройти или спросить путь, используя лексику раздела; понимать в целом речь учителя по ходу урока; понимать на слух диалог, построенный на знакомом материале. 

Предметные умения:

-научиться спрашивать путь и объяснять, как пройти; 

- научиться применять изученные грамматические правила в процессе общения; 

- научиться использовать новые слова и фразы в реальной ситуации. 

УУД:

- личностные: формировать навыки сотрудничества в разных ситуациях, а также самооценки на основе успешности учебной деятельности; 

- коммуникативные: научиться адекватно использовать речевые средства для решения коммуникационных задач; 

- познавательные: научиться осознанно строить речевые высказывания в устной форме; 

- регулятивные: научиться выбирать действия в соответствии с поставленной задачей, использовать речь для регуляции своего действия.

Оборудование урока: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, презентация «Asking for/giving directions»

 

ХОД УРОКА

I. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m very glad to see you.

Pupils:    Good morning, teacher! 

Вопросы учителя учащимся о готовности к работе:

Teacher: How are you?

Pupils: Fine? Thanks.

Teacher: -Sit down, please!

- Today is the 16th of  November.

II. Warm-up (Разминка). Повторение пройденного материала.

 

Teacher: Let’s start our lesson with Warm-up.

- First of all, I want you to answer my questions and choose the  answers on the blackboard.

- Match the words with the pictures.

 - Ok, let’s start. (Начнем!)

Teacher: Where can you take money?

               Pupil:      In the BANK

              Учащийся выбирает ответ «BANK» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you go and watch new films?

              Pupil:     To the CINEMA

              Учащийся выбирает ответ «CINEMA» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you rest and have a cup of coffee?

               Pupil:     At the CAFE (в КАФЕ)

               Учащийся выбирает ответ «CAFE» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you stay if you are new to the area?

              Pupil:     At the HOTEL

              Учащийся выбирает ответ «HOTEL» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you buy books?

               Pupil:     At the BOOK SHOP

              Учащийся выбирает ответ «BOOK SHOP» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you buy bread?

               Pupil:     At the BAKER’S

               Учащийся выбирает ответ «BAKER’S» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you buy sport clothing?

               Pupil:     At the SPORTS SHOP

              Учащийся выбирает ответ «SPORTS SHOP» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you buy toys?

               Pupil:     At the TOY SHOP

               Учащийся выбирает ответ «TOY SHOP» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you take books which you are need and you don’t have at home?

Pupil:     At the LIBRARY

Учащийся выбирает ответ «LIBRARY» на доске.

Teacher: Where can you send or get letters?

Pupil:     At the POST OFFICE

Учащийся выбирает ответ «POST OFFICE» на доске.

Teacher: Well done! We have a list of words.

Work in groups

                   - Look at the map, please!  It’s a map of a town but it isn’t finished.

                   - There are only three buildings marked: the school, the museum and the chemist’s.

                   - And, of course, you  have to complete the map using our words.

                   - You will ask me and I’ll answer the questions.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the bank is?

             Teacher: The BANK is next to the chemist’s on Park Road

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится банк и прикрепляет карточку на карту.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the cinema is?

            Teacher: The CINEMA is opposite the bank on the corner of East Road.

            Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится кинотеатр.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the café is?

             Teacher: The CAFÉ is next to the bank

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится кафе.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the hotel is?

             Teacher: The HOTEL is on the corner of East Road opposite the cinema

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится отель.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the book shop is?

             Teacher: The BOOK SHOP is next to the cinema and opposite the café.

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится книжный магазин.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the baker’s is?

             Teacher: The BAKER’S is on the corner of Green Street opposite the Chemist’s.

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится булочная.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the sports shop is?

            Teacher: The SPORTS SHOP is behind the baker’s on Park Street.

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится спортивный магазин.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the toy shop is?

             Teacher: The TOY SHOP is opposite the sports shop.

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится игрушечный магазин.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the library is?

             Teacher: The LIBRARY is on East Street opposite the school.

             Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится библиотека.

             Pupil:      Do you know where the post office is?

Teacher:  The POST OFFICE is between the hotel and the toy shop on Park Road.

Учащийся подходит к доске и указывает на то место, где находится почта.

Teacher: Well done! Our map is completed.

Teacher:   When you ask for directions, the person responding will usually give you quick directions.

                - Look at the next slide! It is a list of common phrases used when giving directions. You should study them carefully.

TURN LEFT – поверните налево

TURN RIGHT – поверните направо

CROSS THE ROAD – перейдите дорогу

take the first on the left - поверните на первом повороте налево

take the second on the right - поверните на втором повороте направо

GO STRAIGHT ON – идите прямо

GO UP/ GO DOWN THIS RTREET – идите вверх/вниз по улице

Teacher:  So, now I want you to work in pairs. Use the map of our town and today’s phrases to ask for and  give directions.

           -  Come to the front of the class. Work in pairs.

V. Summing up

Рефлексия.

- Today you’ve practised asking the way and giving directions.

On your desks there are some traffic lights. One is happy and another is sad. If you have a good mood show me a happy traffic light, but if bad, show a sad one.
